Machine Translation (MT)

Definition

Automatic translation by computer without human intervention. Modern MT uses neural networks (NMT) trained on parallel corpora. While fast, raw MT quality varies significantly and typically requires post-editing for professional use.

How this shows up in leapCAT

leapCAT does not treat MT as the product. It uses machine translation as one step inside a managed workflow that keeps approved wording, reviewer focus, and final sign-off in-house.
